Snack Baskets

As soon as my daughter learned to speak I was nearly driven to madness by the constant request for snacks. In the best interest of all of us I set up a basket in the fridge and another in the pantry with anytime snacks. Anytime she wanted she could go get one. She didn't have to ask. In fact, "for the love of all that is good and holy, please child, do not ask me" was more along the lines of what I told her. It's worked out splendidly. The little guy is starting to get the hang of it, but we still have to remind him he has that freedom.

I try to prep our snacks for the week as soon as I get in from the grocery shopping. Here are the tried and true snacks that have lived in our baskets all these years:

Nuts or seeds
